The Occupational Health Centre recently undertook a needs assessment to understand better the unique occupational health and safety hazards of international students in Manitoba.
Every year thousands of students choose to immigrate to Manitoba in search of a world-class education and access to better prospects. Many work to cover living expenses and high tuition fees. However, little is known of the hazards they face on the job and even less about how these hazards affect their health, safety, education and settlement outcomes.
Join our information session to learn about the hazards and related challenges these students face at work and what needs to be done to better support them.
