Wildfire smoke and poor air quality can have a significant impact on worker health and safety. Long-term exposure to smoke can lead to respiratory problems and increase the risk of heart and lung diseases. Short-term exposure can irritate the eyes, nose, throat, and lungs, leading to headaches, dizziness, and nausea.
To protect worker health and safety, it is essential for employers and workers to work together to address and mitigate the risks associated with wildfire smoke and poor air quality.
