Injured Workers Day – June 01-2025

Last week the Province of Manitoba proclaimed June 1, 2025 as Injured Workers Day in Manitoba. This means a lot to us at the MFL-Occupational Health Centre, as a worker-centred community health clinic with roots in the labour movement.

We had a good talk with Minister Malaya Marcelino, MLA for Notre Dame about our plans to step up programming for injured workers, how we can partner with the province to accomplish that, and how we can work towards legislation to enshrine Injured Workers Day into law in Manitoba.
