New Trainers complete OHC’s Train the Trainer Program for the Food Processing Industry in Westman

This past June, 14 new trainers completed OHC’s Train the Trainer Program for Food Processing workers in the Westman Region. These new trainers are from the Chinese, East Indian, Spanish-speaking, Russian/Ukranian and Filipino cultural communities and work in the food processing industry. They will be responsible to deliver three workshops in their first languages for their coworkers on Workplace Health & Safety Rights and Resources over the next year and a half.

This is a two year project undertaken in partnership with the United Food & Commercial Workers Training Centre in Brandon and supported by a grant from the Research and Workplace Innovation Program of the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba.
