PTSD Help Website for Firefighters Launched

The United Fire Fighters of Winnipeg has launched a new website to help their members deal with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The video features stories from firefighters who have dealt with PTSD and provides information on symptoms and how to seek help.

Emergency responders such as police, firefighters and paramedics face higher rates of PTSD.

Earlier this year Manitoba became the first province to introduce legislation to automatically allow any fire, police, emergency medical staff or nurse with PTSD to qualify for workers compensation.
